The K9 Crew, an initiative of the SPCA of Wake County's Behavior Team, is a group of trained volunteers that focus on highlighting some of the dogs who linger at the SPCA, regardless of breed.

The K9 Crew was first called the "Pit Crew" and originated to repair and rebuild the reputation of the American Pit Bull Terrier in our community. That work continues as the SPCA K9 Crew.

The SPCA of Wake County is a no-kill organization. Thanks to support from donations, the SPCA of Wake County is able to help over 6,000 animals each year. We’re saving more animals than ever before and providing an unprecedented amount of help to families struggling to keep their four-legged companions. This is why the SPCA needs our help more than ever before.  Every single animal they save is because of people like us who care about homeless pets. We are proud to support this no-kill work -- team up with us to help!
