Joanna, Jester and Meg's page!
I don’t know where I’d be without my beloved greyhounds Meg and Jester. They are there when I come home at night, and there wagging their tails (and whining to go out) when I wake up in the morning. They remind me every day how important pets are in our lives.

When I adopted my first greyhound, I had a real “Ah-Ha!” moment about the plight of dogs, cats and other pets who need homes and pet overpopulation. There are far too many dogs and cats out there who don’t have homes and never will. The lucky ones find homes through the good works of adoption programs. Unfortunately, many are abandoned or feral – and end up dying or being put down. The SPCA of Wake County makes a concerted effort to work with abandoned or rescued pets to make sure they find great homes. They also partner with responsible spay and neuter programs to help us decrease overpopulation. I hope you'll support my efforts to help homeless pets at the SPCA of Wake County by sponsoring me in the 18th annual K9-3K Dog Walk & Woofstock.
This event is an annual tradition that brings animal lovers together for a fun walk and day of festivities with a very important purpose: Helping the SPCA care for thousands of lost, abandoned, abused and unwanted pets, and giving them a second chance at happiness in a forever home.
This is a cause I believe in and a mission that is close to my heart. I am asking for your help in my effort to save lives. If animals have brought you as much joy as they've given me, this is your opportunity to show some love to homeless pets and change their lives for the better. Thank you so much for helping me make a difference to homeless pets. I appreciate your support!
Giving a gift is easy! Click the round "Donate To My Walk Goal" button to help me reach my fundraising goal. A gift of any size is greatly appreciated ... and needed.
The SPCA of Wake County is supported by donors, like me and you, who care about animals in need. The SPCA receives no funding from any national charity, plus they do not get any government funding. The SPCA of Wake County is the Triangle's largest private no-kill, managed admission animal organization. Every single animal they save is because of people like us who care about homeless pets. Let's make a difference together!
