You Did It
Thanks to all the people who donated, I was able to meet my goal and then some. Your donation will help the leading no-kill shelter in North Carolina. Last year, the shelter took in nearly 3,500 animals with a save rate of over 98%!
Your financial support makes sure that the innovative programs and services can continue to serve Wake County as well as the surrounding counties.

The Power of a Matching Gift - Your Donation Has Double the Impact
Some great news. An anonymous donor has issued a matching gift challenge of $15,000 for the K9-3K dog walk! My goal was $100, and I'm only $10 short. With this challenge, I would like to make my goal $250l. Please make a donation today to have your gift doubled! As for me, I'm carbo loading for the walk

I've hit a magical number. I turned 7 years old today. My life has been fairly charmed, but I've had some rough patches. I spent the first 15 months of my life in four homes. I wasn't very healthy, and people got frustrated with me. I was cute enough to bring into a home, but I had issues that made life difficult for everyone involved.
I ended up in my current home, and I presented a lot of challenges to my roomie. He has stuck by me through surgeries, and I have stuck with him through new jobs in new states. I go everywhere with him, and I mean everywhere. We have lived in California, Hawaii, Michigan, Wisconsin and, now, North Carolina.
You donating to my walking will do one thing for me... it will help bring a smile to my roomie's face. You aren't saving my life. That happened on July 9, 2011. You will be donating to the SPCA of Wake County, which is a no-kill shelter that takes in over 3,500 animals each year. Your doantion will help start one of a thousand stories like mine, and it will help continue a movement that will save thousands more.
My roomie doesn't have the same "game face" as I do, but he can be very serious. He is especially serious when it comes to the state of animal sheltering. It is 2017, and we are still struggling to keep shelters from euthanizing based solely on time and space. So, donate to innovation over the status quo, donate to adoptions instead of euthanasia, donate to philanthropy that is looking to solve a problem.
