2019 Dog Walk (it's for people, too!)

Some of you already know that I was the first Behavior Specialist to join the staff of the SPCA of Wake County. I came on board in December of 2002, and it's been a dream job the whole time. Last year, I was given the opportunity to expand my role by serving as the Director of our new Community Initiatives Department. It means that I look after the various _people_ services the SPCA provides, (including the pet retention programs...aka BehaviorStuff!)

I've already learned a lot about how important humans are to everything the SPCA does now, and everything we strive to do in the future. Turns out it's actually ALL about people! Who'd've thunk it, right?

Of course, you particular people are among the most important ones. Your donations of money and time and your belief in our mission are the reasons we keep thriving and growing. So once again I'm coming to you to ask for your support in my fundraising effort at our annual Dog Walk which we'll hold on April 27, 2019. I waited a little longer than I meant to this year, so I'm afraid there's already just a limited amount of time left. But that's ok, because all you have to do is click the "donate" button -- you know the drill by now. There are no such things as small donations, by the way. In fact, just $120 will save the life of one shelter pet. My personal goal this year is to save FIFTEEN lives, and I would really appreciate your help.

As always, thank you for your continued and constant goodwill. We'd truly be lost without it.
