my NEW Role at the SPCA!
As most of you know, I'm the first Behavior Specialist to join the staff of the SPCA of Wake County. I came on board in December of 2002, and it's been a dream job the whole time. Recently, I was given the opportunity to expand my role by becoming a bigger part of the development of the new programs we're dreaming up to benefit pets and people. Naturally, this will include overseeing the post-adoption behavior support program I've always been associated with, and now, I also have the chance to create ways to carry out our new ideas as well.
My new title? Director of Community Initiatives. ::DRAMATIC CHORD!:: It's so exciting I can't stand it!
As you already know, everything we do is possible because you make it happen for us. Your donations of money and time and your belief in our mission are the reasons we keep thriving and growing. So once again I'm coming to you to ask for your support in my personal fundraising effort at our annual Dog Walk which we'll hold on May 6th, 2018. All you have to do is click the "donate" button -- you know the drill by now. There are no such things as small donations, by the way. For the price of a gag gift for your office holiday party, you can feed a shelter pet for a whole day. Believe me, a day's worth of food is no small thing for a homeless animal!
With all the strange things going on in our world, my work with the SPCA and the new opportunities I've been given to reach even more lives -- animals and human alike -- mean absolutely everything to me. Thank you for your continued and constant support. There is no way we could do any of this without you.
