Help the SPCA save lives
Please Sponsor our Mom...
While my sweet shelter dogs will not be joining me at the walk, they are supportive of my efforts to help the homeless pets at the SPCA of Wake County. They respectfully ask that you support us in the 18th annual K9-3K Dog Walk & Woofstock. However, Tessa is quite disturbed that I joined the T-N-R team. Cats!
My friends, family and even the checkout staff at Harris Teeter know that I love dogs, cats and everything furry. It is what defines me.
And the SPCA is a big reason that I am so dedicated to improving the lives of animals. While I adopted my first shelter dog in 1991, long before I began volunteering at the SPCA, my time there (12 + years now) has solidified my commitment to making animal advocacy my purpose in life.
The SPCA is one of the organizations that has a mission that mirrors what I feel. First of all, every animal has a right to live (and at our house, that means pure comfort!). Secondly, every animal should live free from cruelty and pain. From the minute a homeless animal walks into the SPCA, it becomes a loved member of our SPCA family - getting lots of love, good vet care, regular meals and socialization. The focus is to bring out the best in our animals so they will thrive in their forever home.
Please join me as I walk at this annual event. Not only is it an excellent way to help animals, it's fun to watch a sea of people and dogs in one big, happy location. It's walking with purpose: helping the SPCA care for thousands of lost, abandoned, abused and unwanted pets, and giving them a second chance at happiness in a forever home.
Thank you so much for helping me make a difference to homeless pets. I appreciate your support!
Giving a gift is easy! Click the round "Donate To My Walk Goal" button to help me reach my fundraising goal. A gift of any size is greatly appreciated ... and needed.
Why you and I can make such a big impact ...
The SPCA of Wake County is supported by donors, like me and you, who care about animals in need. The SPCA receives no funding from any national charity, plus they do not get any government funding. The SPCA of Wake County is the Triangle's largest private no-kill, managed admission animal organization. Every single animal they save is because of people like us who care about homeless pets. Let's make a difference together!
